Jennifer Costas lives and works in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She attended Fiorello H. La Guardia High School of Music and Art, NY and studied at the Mason Gross School of The Arts at Rutgers University.

Jennifer is an artist, art teacher, librarian, and served as Regional Advisor for Society of Children Book Writers and Illustrators for many years. She is a children’s story author and has been a mural painter for the past 14 years.

Jennifer describes her approach to portraiture as a chance to capture the essential expression or quality that celebrates the model through the medium, rather than a realistic interpretation.
