David Jones received his BFA in sculpture from the University of Georgia. He worked at the Sloss Metal Arts Artist-in-Residency program before pursuing his MFA in sculpture from the University of Tennessee Knoxville.

He moved to Laramie, Wyoming in 2004 where he currently lives and works. Jones has exhibited his work predominantly throughout the Rocky Mountain West and the Southeastern United States.
